What Works – Practically Speaking

Life is change.
Students come and go.
New learning theories are introduced and slowly fade away.
New technologies spring up like mushrooms after a summer rain.
Curriculum requirements are changed with every shift of the political wind.

The constant in education is the TEACHER.

But how can we, teachers, figure out what will work with our students when we are overwhelmed with so much new, changing and shifting information?

This year’s ELTForum.sk conference seeks to provide the space and time for teacher trainers and teachers to share the practical methodologies and insights they have learned from their own teaching experience and/or research in ELT.  Learning from each other, interacting and networking, we can become better teachers for our students.

    Hi, Vladica,
After all this time, you’re the 1st person to notice – thank you for commenting! Yes, it was that typical New Year’s error :/ Rest assured your submission has arrived safe and sound and beat the deadline 🙂 We’ll let you know if your submission has been accepted or not by mid-March.

  3. Vladica says:

I have just submitted my proposal for the conference but to my horror, I realized that the lines above say that the deadline was 15th February 2012! I do hope the date here is a mistake that we all make at the beginning of a New Year! Can you reasure me, please ?

  4. Ahmad Wali Rostami says:

Thank you so much for the great work you do for the Language teachers. I have got a question: Can Teachers of English language join this wonderful event as audience, not a presenter? I am an English Teacher as well as coordinating an English Program funded by the US Embassy (Kabul). Can I join the conference as an audience? if yes, how?

    • scelt says:

Greetings! Thank you for the encouragement!
Of course, you may come as a participant. Registration isn’t open yet, but once it is, we’ll post that information and you’re welcome to sign up. We’d love to have you!
